As far back as I can remember, I've always had a love for all things horses. As a young child, I loved visiting my horse-crazy cousin, and when I first saw her collection of Breyer model horses, I was hooked.
My parents bought me my first set of Breyers when I was five years old, and since then, I've continued to expand my little herd of shelf horses. After many half-hearted attempts throughout the years, I
finally decided to pursue painting my own models seriously in 2006. In addition to models, I also love their real-life, breathing counterparts - I rode huntseat for 3 years as a teenager, and just recently, began riding again after a long hiatus. I have a passion for the Arabian breed, but also have a soft spot for Thoroughbreds, Morgans, and several of the riding pony breeds. My main areas of interest are dressage, endurance riding, and natural horsemanship. Other interests include camping, kayaking, photography, and illustration. I currently live in Columbus, Ohio with my husband, Byron, and a menagerie of pets: my five cats (Shade, Ghost, Frosty, Starlet, and Big Boy); pet snake, Houdini; and a school of saltwater fish.
